Admin of the NOMVSS group, serve on several committees, founder of the Helping Hands Grant.

What’s your professional role?

Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Why do you volunteer for NOMV?

I believe very strongly in removing the stigma around mental health issues in our field and decreasing the incidence of suicide in veterinary medicine.  I love peer support, and everyone sharing their stories to help others.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I went to rodeo camp in Northern California for 9 summers in a row.

Where are you located?

California, USA

Why are you committed to the NOMV mission?

Every person who we can get help is one more person who will be here in a month, or a year, or 10 years.  I want everyone to get the help they need.

What are your aspirations within NOMV?

I want to build the Helping Hands Grant Fund in a way that will make it available to as many people as possible to get the financial help they need.  I would love to establish a scholarship fund someday.  I want NOMV to be THE organization for peer support and suicide prevention in vet med.
