Take a calm meandering walk in nature (in the woods and/or near a body of water) with your dogs. 🥰 Take time to study the plants and waves and wild life. Close your eyes toward the sun and just breathe...
I taught my dog to ’give hugs’. I open my arms wide, tell her I need a hug, and her tail starts going as she moves in so I can lightly encircle her with my arms. I taught my first dog to give hugs and it cheered her up (and the staff when they asked for it) when she was in the ICU.

I'm so sorry this is necessary. We adore our vet's office and staff. I have so much love and appreciation for those who help the helpless, and give a voice to animals. I wish all veterinary employees felt that love and appreciation, you're all AMAZING!
As a mother of deceased veterinarian Andrea G. Watson from NC, I would just like to applaude you once again for your hardworking efforts in getting the message/resources out there for veterinary mental health. I’ve posted on the NOMV posts before but it will never get old repeating this message. Matter of life and death for veterinary professionals to know help is available and not be hesitant to reach out. Never ever think for a second you have to go it alone.
