How long have you volunteered with NOMV?

Since August 2020

What is your role(s) with NOMV?

Moderator

What's your professional role?

Veterinary grief care counselor, veterinary chaplain, CSR

What's your favorite thing about volunteering for NOMV?

The connections! I have so many friends I’ve never met through here. When I travel, there’s always someone with whom I can connect and cause some mischief – in the best way possible.

Why do you volunteer for NOMV?

I love sharing what I have learned with NOMV members – whether it be through professional or personal education. Many times, I learn so much more from the other members.

What's a fun fact about you?

I like to go to countries and eat “namesake” foods. I’ve had fries in France, waffles in Belgium, Turkey in Turkey, Linzer Tort in Linz, and the list goes on.

Where are you located?

Massachusetts

Why are you committed to the NOMV mission?

I believe in the mission that we’re in it together. Sharing our struggles in a way that acknowledges the difficulty but looks forward to the hope and good times too. Life is full of many colors, so don’t choose just rose colored glasses.

What goals do you have for the future of your profession?

I want to become the first board certified chaplain working full-time in the veterinary industry.

What are your aspirations within NOMV?

I can’t wait to see where NOMV takes all of us over the years. The ride has been wonderful so far, and I’m open to the possibilities.
