PetVet Care Centers Commits Significant Support to NOMV

March 13, 2023

San Francisco, CA. Not One More Vet (NOMV) announced that it is receiving ongoing support from PetVet Care Centers. The funds enable NOMV to provide a multitude of services to veterinary professionals around the world.

A trusted veterinary practice partner supporting the success of local hospitals, PetVet Care Centers committed to contributing to NOMV in memory of each patient euthanized within one of their practices. NOMV, a nonprofit organization that envisions a veterinary profession that honors and elevates sustainable wellbeing, will use the funds to grow its services to the veterinary community. The organization offers eight robust programs to support that goal. These programs are grouped into three categories of support: Evidence-based Peer Support, Resources and Referrals, and Outreach and Awareness. As a nonprofit, they are only able to bring these services to veterinary professionals thanks to the support of donors.

“Although we don’t dictate how vets practice medicine, we partner with organizations that hold the same core values and support a healthy life-work balance and well-being,” said Dr. Anthony Loomis, chief medical officer at PetVet Care Centers.

With the support of its donors, including PetVet Care Center’s significant contribution, in 2022 NOMV was able to:

  • serve 211 people with evidence-based peer support through the anonymous Lifeboat app
  • serve 38 clinics through the CLEAR Blueprint workplace wellness program
  • provide $165,000 in support grants to 329 individuals in ten countries
  • launch 4 NOMV local chapters
  • develop the infrastructure needed to launch student chapters at veterinary schools in 2023
  • and participate in 147 outreach, education, and awareness events

NOMV is honored to receive significant financial contributions from PetVet Care Centers,”  said Darlene Bos, executive director of NOMV. “The funds allow us to provide impactful programming that is transforming the status of wellness in the profession so veterinary professionals can survive and thrive.”
